Ahogy az várható volt, a Hobbit se ússza meg bővített változat nélkül, és a Warner a minap le is leplezte a kiadvány részleteit.
A Hobbit bővített változata november ötödikén jelenik meg Amerikában BD-n (és vélhetően DVD-n), háromlemezes szimpla, illetve ötlemezes 3D változatban. Maga a film tizenhárom perccel lesz hosszabb (miért, Uram, miért??!!), de ami igazán figyelemre méltó, azaz extra felhozatal: 9 órán át fogják nekünk kivesézni a titkokat. Természetesen ebből rögtön le lehet vonni három órát az audiokommentárra, de így is marad hat, azaz hat óra werk, aminek a felsorolása olyan hosszú, hogy csak a tovább mögé raktam be. Első ránézésre a legérdekesebb az, hogy a két részre osztott masszív doksi Appendices 7 and 8 névre hallgat, szóval követi az eredeti trilógia extra lemezeinek elnevezését.
Várhatóan ezernyi különböző kiszerelésben kerül majd mindez a boltok polcaira, köztök egy szobros verzióval is. Hogy itthon hogy lesz, az kérdőjel, azt leszámítva, hogy lesz - mert lesz.
